6/9/2023 0 Comments Autopano video pro 2 review![]() In the video review I also take a little look at the Insta360 One. In normal light the 8K image is excellent. I also think it really needs better coverage of the bottom and top as you get a real pincushion effect due to there not being any cameras in that position but at this price there isn’t anything that competes. ![]() The sensors are too small so low light isn’t the best and it is prone to overheating if you turn off the (noisy) fan. You could just be seeing 20% of the image so the quality loss even from a 4K image is massive. You may think 4K is enough, well for normal video sure but the amount you crop in on a 4K 360 shot video when you watch it on Youtube or through a headset can be huge. Four built-in mics and an AUX external mic input.High-resolution 100 fps slow-motion effect with post-processing.Six 200° fisheye lenses (selectable – use all six or less).Live stream 4K video with H.264 and H.265 compressions to a variety of 360-supporting platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, and the Insta360 server.Capture 360 videos and stills in 8K and 3D.My video review covers a lot of information but here are the main specs of it: I took it on my holiday to Skiathos in Greece for a couple of weeks to see what is is capable of. Now for the first time I have used a 360 camera that I feel I could use professionally and that is the new Insta360 Pro. I have a very in depth blog post from a year ago that looks at my main issues and how I used the Samsung Gear 360 in a beehive. From my very first the Theta M15 through to the latest incarnation the Theta V and everything in between. Most of my 360 camerasįor 2 and a half years I have been experimenting with 360 video from a varied collection of cameras I have bought over this time. There are some multi cam rigs and some very expensive set ups, these are good but workflow and cost are prohibitive for many including myself. Firstly there are not many cameras out there that can film usable 360 video, most cameras especially the all in ones simply don’t cut it even the 4k ones. That being said finding video filmed for this that is actually any good is pretty hard to find. To be able to be transported somewhere and feel like you are there, to experience something, to see something, to be part of something…now that is new and exciting. If you see it on a 2D space like Facebook or YouTube then it’s OK but a bit boring and too much work scrolling around but when you watch it through a headset that is where the power of it starts to become apparent. There I said it, it is not a fad, it is something unique and fascinating. Wonder how many people have purchased it only to find they have to buy more to get the whole thing to work.I love 360 video. You'll notice Kolor, Freedom and others offer bundles. Warning, you have to own valid license of Autopano Pro or Giga to establish the initial stitch." This is the same version as Autopano Vidéo but includes GPU rendering. If you don’t already own either APP or APG take a look at this bundle and save!"Īutopano Vidéo allows you to stitch easily and efficiently 360 degrees immersive videos whatever equipment used for shooting. "Autopano Pro (APP) or Autopano Giga (APG) are required to use Autopano Video or Autopano Video Pro properly. Suggest you do a test yourself anyway to check your machine, etc.Īnd yes, it is very odd that it's not actually mentioned anywhere on the Kolor site (or at least is not obvious) ![]() edit button did nothing) After downloading the Giga (or Pro?) demo it then reacted to Edit button (as in the videos) and brought up all the controls in that app. My experience of downloading the demo of Autopano Video Pro 2 is that it would stitch but not allow any control of control points or other settings. Yes, it does require one of the Autopans (Pro or Giga) to get full benefit from Autopano Video Pro 2 as I understand it.
